Words can honestly not describe the wonder that is this beautiful woman. Her story is an inspiration to say the least! Here is a little about this phenomenal woman!!
In 2008, Liz experienced rapid weight gain after serious injury and being stuck in a Domestic Violence relationship. Liz found the strength to leave her domestic situation but at only 27 yrs (in 2013) Liz's health had deteriorated so quickly that she found herself in and out of emergency rooms due to severe asthma attacks and chest infections. Due to married to her new partner and planning a family, Liz made the decision that enough was enough! Liz had tried every diet and joined countless gyms and was exhausted both mentally and physically. This is when Liz made the choice to look into weight loss surgery. At 135kg, Liz's life was on the line... so she booked her surgery which was to take place only 3 weeks after her wedding!
Liz had lost a whopping 20kg before the wedding and then, three weeks after her magical day to the love of her life... Liz's stomach was permanently altered. The 6 months after saw Liz have rapid weight loss which came with complications and further surgeries. Down to 85kg, Liz felt like death and was suffering major depression, in spite of her amazing weight loss. getting up for work was a struggle.
In 2014... Liz's fitness journey began. She didn't only want to be slimmer... she wanted to be healthier and fitter too! With a combination of pole fitness, a personal trainer and crossfit, Liz's results are astonishing!
Liz's friends nominated her for an Empowerment session with Olive Tree Photography because of her amazing journey and commemorate her achievements. During the lead up to the session, Liz was worried that she wouldn't be able to smile. Luckily... she didn't have to!! We managed to capture some amazing images without a smile... but of course Liz's smile came shining through the more we went on! As a part of her Empowerment session, Liz was donated a professional Hair & Makeup session by the amazingly talented Carein from Al 4 Beauty by Carein.
Liz's advice to anyone having a photoshoot is "Be prepared to show a little of yourself so the photographer has something to work with" and I couldn't agree more!
Liz most definietely has a pure and genuine heart!! I am so grateful to have met such an amazing woman with the strength to make the hard choices and changes!
