Meeting Katie & Graham was beautiful. Originally having a different photographer booked, as the day drew closer, Katie just felt it wasn't the right fit for their day. Posting on socials looking for a new photographer, I popped a comment in and said I'd be honoured. Their wedding was only a matter of weeks away, so we organised a time to meet to see if we gelled. Immediately, I felt connected to this gorgeous couple and we booked their special day in.
Fast forward to the big day, I was so blessed to be able to be a part of their magic. They got ready at the same place... which was fun trying to avoid each other so as not to ruin the build up. The girls downstairs in a small little boutique hotel called Aaronlee Retreat in the Gold Coast hinterland, up on Mt Tambourine, and the boys in rooms above. Easy for me to race from top to bottom and a great little work out haha
The day was chilly and windy. Autumn & winter weddings are always so beautiful. Starting with the details (which Katie was confused with at first... cos why did we need photos of the rings and flowers etc... but realising after seeing them that the details absolutely do matter because the day goes by in such a fluster) then working our way to their perfect day full of autumn leaves at Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery in a gorgeous little chapel, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
Even featuring the car that Graham built himself!
I am so blessed that I have the most amazing couples choose me to share in their special day. To be surrounded by such love is an honour that makes my heart and soul happy.
With love to Katie & Graham, I hope you're enjoying the beauty of marriage x
